If you get the chance, split your fleet in two parts and flank the enemy battle line from two sides. This prevents the enemy from turning away, and usually overloads the AI, so it starts zigzaggin-->loses accuracy and optimal broadside angle. Very good way to quickly destroy weaker enemy battle line.

Yes. You can even do this is Admiral's mode when your Fleet Tactics give you second active command (i.e., Scout Force).
