Set radar and missile range within scenario

Post by PastBehavin »

Running a scenario investigating blue AESA radar detection of both red aircraft and an incoming red missile. I want to run a range of values for blue detection capability and red missile max ranges. I don't want to make numerous database variants so I'm looking for the correct LUA script and key value names so I can just edit for a scenario Monte Carlo run.

Would the 'ScenEdit_SetKeyValue' script be the correct choice and for example would the key value for a radar units max range be 'RangeMax' that I see in the data sensor table? Thanks all for help on this.

Setkeyvalue is used to store keys in the scenario in such a way that when loading a .save of the scenario, values can be retrieved for the correct operation of the scenario logic, so I don't see any relation with what you want to do.

Regarding the values of the weapons and radars, they can be accessed through lua. Take a look at

https://commandlua.github.io/assets/Tab ... ble_Sensor

You can obtain a weapon wrapper:

local weapon= ScenEdit_QueryDB('Weapon', weapon_dbid)
