Reliability of planes

Post by wieschi »

Hello everyone,

I apologize in advance for my perhaps somewhat simple question and my bumpy English. I am using a translation-program:

When it comes to aircraft reliability, is it good to have a high score or a low score?
Example: The Yak-1 has a value of 15 (highest of all fighter/fighter-bombers), the La-5 has a value of 8, and the I-16 has a value of 5 (lowest of all fighter/fighter-bombers).
Which of the three aircraft types is better in terms of reliability?
So which type probably has fewer operational losses?

I intend to station the most reliable type of aircraft in the east of the map and carry out training flights (air superiority).
Before deployment at the front, the squadrons are converted to the best current fighter/fighter-bomber.

Think this is the best way to train the Soviet Air Force. Unfortunately, in my experience, it doesn't improve well in reserve

Thank you very much!

Lower is better, see section 18.3.10 in the manual for more details.

Thank you very much for your reply.
And I thought higher would be better...

My first experiments with the practice flights in the east of the map look very good. Experience increases, with a tolerable number of pilot casualties and plane crashes.
