Night Intruder ECM question

Hi all, I remember I'm able to set Nigth Intruder ECM patrolling certain area (for example over radar site), now (playing 1.6.70) they reach target point and then return home without patrolling assigned area at all. I'm missing something or maybe I don't remember how this mission type work? Thanks for the answer.

I think it depends on the range to the target as to how much time the Night Intruder will patrol. In past versions I thought that there was a patrol option but I may be confusing this to day light fighter sweeps.

Nightfighter class planes will patrol after reaching the target, but ECM's wont. You have to manipulate the waypoints on the map to give ECM's some coverage time. I can change this so that they will patrol like Nightfighters if that makes more sense.
