Port Supply source tracing

Does Port Supply have to trace to any main supply source ultimately? I.e. if the Axis has taken the entire North Africa, Egypt and Gibraltar, does Malta continue to generate supply (without being supplied from anywhere?) If so, can we add this to the WP2 wishlist to have ports have to trace back to an ultimate base supply source?

No or your turn would take a long time.

But there are scripts that shut off ports if say GIb and Egypt are Axis controlled for the Allies.
