No combat logs when France surrenders

Post by Garush »

Hi Alvaro !

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but just in case, I prefer to report it.

I play a PBEM game against dakkerm (game n° 417089 - Europe 1939). We are on March 28, 1941, and France has finally just capitulated. But I don't have the report logs for the previous round. In Paris, I had a fully-formed 1942 Heavy Armored corps, and I wanted to know what losses it had inflicted before being eliminated. But no matter how hard I look, I can't find anything. There are not even the losses of the previous turns, perhaps because of the surrender of France?

Here is a small video showing the regrettable absence of the logs.

It goes... Axis take Paris on their turn.
Allies go, you should see battle logs. Gives them 1 turn to counter attack
Axis go and accept surrender... no more fighting
Allies go, no logs because there is no more fighting.

So... If I recap:

1) Paris is surrounded, but the soldiers inside the city are preparing to sell their skin dearly. Allied player clicks on “Next turn”.

2) Axis take Paris on their turn. Allies go, and should see battle logs. Give them 1 turn to counter attack

3) Axis go and accept surrender... no more fighting. Allies go, no logs because there is no more fighting.

I have the impression that in our game, we went directly from point 1 to point 3, which is a shame because the logs that I wanted to consult are in point 2. Curious...

Ok, no worries. We'll settle this on the plains of Russia.

I'm pretty sure it shows in the logs. Maybe you missed it?

However, this is not my first game with the allies, far from it. But this is the first time this has happened to me.

Well, too bad, we're not going to elaborate. Forget it, we'll say it was me who made a mistake.

Anyway, thanks for looking.
