Question on Bnat1XXX Files

Post by Eisenbar2000 »

I am looking at the BNat1XXX.dat files and don't understand some of the entries.

These are:

GGP=0
RGP1=0
BKT1="someplace"
IFM=11
HBR=8
BTL1="9999"
PAL1="Somewhere"
Intelligence=1
BudgetModifier=99
DesignPriority=1

There are more but you get the idea. Some appear to have either a 0 or 1 depending on the Nation. Is there some discussion or explanation to these terms and what the numbers or names mean? Thanks.

GGP is 'Good Growth Potential'
RGP is 'Rapid Growth Potential'

I do not know the exact parameters for the settings, but I think they grant an extra 1% Base Resource growth per year - basically, they're the settings for the US getting such a big budget late game.

'BudgetModifier' - not so sure on this one, but I think it's the multiplier that applies to the Base Resources to determine your actual budget.

There's an official guide on the RTW1 forum that covers a lot of these.
The BKT fields are the list of blitzkrieg targets.
PAL is used for the "blow up an enemy ship in harbor" event chain, I think. It's purely cosmetic.
IFM controls the size of the starting fleet. The default is 10.
