First Russian Winter

Hi all, I’m playing Campaign as Russian vs Human Axis, who is very good. Mud/winter 1941 saved me, it is now late Feb 1942. Russians have made steady progress regaining ground through the snow. Both armies are exhausted. Am I crazy to continue to fight into the spring, thinking of US Grant vs RE Lee—stay close and let numbers beat him down? Or is the reco to prepare for a massive Spring attack? Also, What is a good (for Russia) casualties # for the axis by March 1941? Axis have about 700 VP, and Sevestopol is surrounded. My inclination is to stay close and duke it out….keep axis from regrouping. Looks like the front line will run from Viasma west of Tula to Vorasenth, over to Rostov. So I can’t lose Saratov or Stalingrad, as I assume Sevestopol will fall in the nice weather.
