Depots and Truck usage

According to the Production screen, I currently have 109,060 vehicles in depots.

Can one has possibly TOO many depots and what can I possibly do to get that figure down?

I am playing as the Axis and I have 47k as of 12/42. In a previous game as the Soviets at T30 I had a 100k. See if you can get it under this.

Go into the Commanders Report>Location>Depot and sort on Unused Vehicles. Those with a high numbers reduce the priority of the depot.

Depots that are at 100% capacity reduce the priority.
