New Update Issue
I installed the new update with no problem. When I start a scenario you will see the Intro screen. After making your selection, and hitting enter, the screen is just blank. That happens for EVERY scenario. Nothing works.
Re: New Update Issue
The World Map is not visible for any scenario. The Unit screen and the Message screen work, but the World is missing. In fact, the World is not seen when the program first comes on.
Re: New Update Issue
I switched back to 1328.8 and everything works as it did before....i.e. the World Map is visible.
Please let me know when it is fixed so that I can go back to the new update.

I am having same problem with latest version 1.06.1328.9.

Re: New Update Issue
DWReese, thank you for this report. Can you please upload a dxdiag and, if you can locate the last exception log for 1328.9, that as well?DWReese wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 5:31 pm The World Map is not visible for any scenario. To find exception logs, look in the Logs subdirectory in the Command installation (if you installed with Steam, this should be the "steamapps\common\Command - Modern Operations\Logs" directory inside the Steam installation directory, which is usually "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam").
To get a dxdiag report, select the Start menu in Windows, type dxdiag, run it, then select Save All Information.

humi, thank you for your report. Can you please attach a screenshot of what you seeing where the upper area shows no GPU? Also, would it be possible for you to upload a dxdiag? Additionally, if it is too much trouble, would it be possible for you to enable the integrated GPU in BIOS and see if that changes the behavior at all?humi wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 6:18 pm I am having same problem with latest version 1.06.1328.9.

Re: New Update Issue
My situation occurred from the download (not stream) and install via the zip file. I have since reloaded 1328.8, and I have played a game using that, so I don't believe that that file would be available any longer, would it? If I could still have something available, please let me know what I need to do to get it for you.
Re: New Update Issue
Hi DWReese, the exception log file should be in CmoFolderInstalation/Logs. (Unless you changed it during installation the cmo folder is under C:/Program files x86)
The file name indicates the day of that particular exception log, so the one with yesterday's date should contain 1328.9. Nothing happens if you change versions.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thank you

Re: New Update Issue
I'm not sure if this is what you want or not. I BELIEVE that this is it, but I'm not sure. Prior to this I was using 1328.8. I ran the new install, and tried to open up a scenario. I tried at least three times, so this is likely what is represented below, but I'm not sure. After this failed and the orld Screen was not visible, I reinstalled 1328.8 back on top of 1328.9. Everything works as before with 1328.8.

I have attached dxdiag report and screenshots to this post.oran42 wrote: Wed Aug 30, 2023 8:43 pm humi, thank you for your report. To get a dxdiag report, select the Start menu in Windows, type dxdiag, run it, then select Save All Information.
As seen from the screenshot, the white text area on top of the black map screen and below the top toolbar has empty "GPU:" field which indicated that it might not properly recognize my graphics card. I did further testing and seems that sometimes it manages to render the map screen with my GPU name listed correctly and sometimes not. Like if it gets stuck after few frames and wont update the map screen anymore. This can be seen by resizing the window and it just resizes the map screen like an image without re-rendering it (see cmo_screenshot_resize.jpg).
Everything works fine when I downgrade the game to version 1307.19 and previous steam version also worked fine before this 1328.9 update.

Win 8 is no longer supported. CMO v1.06+ requires Win10+.

Re: New Update Issue
Tried to disconnect my second monitor as hinted in another thread but it didn't work. I have also disabled all overlays and my antivirus software but these steps didn't help either.
I managed to randomly get it working once by restarting the game over twenty times while trying these different combinations to see what might cause this problem. Restarted it again to see whether this actually fixed the problem but the problem occurred again.

Thanks for the info.
Since 1328.8 appeared to be functioning using Win8.1 before THIS UPGRADE, and upgrading to Win10 is not an option right now, would you suggest that I stay with 1328.8, or going back down to the last version of 1.05 in order to continue playing? Or, does that even matter?

Re: New Update Issue
BTW, perhaps this can be of some help.
My screen, using Win8.1, looks exactly like the image that Humi posted, and he is using Win11.
So, whatever is causing the World to vanish, is causing the same issue for both of us.
Therefore, whatever Win Version is being used doesn't seem to be related to this issue.

Re: New Update Issue
I don't know if you are actually looking into to this, but I do believe that I now know WHY the WORLD screen was never present:
When you first start up the game, the game will present you a screen asking you to select a scenario. For the first two to three seconds after the select scenario screen is first present, the WORLD SCREEN is NOT. The background is WHITE, as was depicted in the screen shot. The WORLD screen appears about two to three seconds later.
If you are too quick, and if you select the scenario BEFORE the WORLD screen appears, the program apparently loses its mind, and the WORLD screen will never appear. If you wait for two to three seconds, then the WORLD screen will appear, and then you can select the scenario, everything works as it should.
I am informing you of this in an effort to save you some time and effort, in the event that you are actually still involved in looking into this (which I doubt based on the lack of further discussion or response).

Re: New Update Issue
Hi DWReese
It is a problem that, unfortunately, we have not been able to replicate on our side and with the logs provided there does not seem to be enough information.
We have added some more debug traces to be able to better understand the problem, they will be available in the next release.
I'm glad you were able to find a workaround

Re: New Update Issue
Hi,
I don't have this problem anymore after switching to a new graphics card. It could be that the older one had something wrong with it, and only seen in CMO, or this switch changed something within Windows.

Re: New Update Issue
I suspect its a driver isssue. But not sure how newer drivers behave on orphaned OSs like Win8.
