Strange zooming bug (?)

I've run across this a few times but I'm now at a point in this game where I can replicate it.

I'm looking at the entirety of the Trandusha system. When I try to zoom in with my mouse wheel onto whatever is in the blue box... something weird happens. It's like the planets all disappear. See the 2 attached screen shots and see if you make it happen. This is 2 'clicks' of the wheel on my mouse.

I have noticed that also in 1.1.6.7.

Fiddling with the zoom usually makes the planets return. But yeah, it is possible for them to visually disappear when zooming and stay hidden for as long as you leave it alone.

I also tried zooming in with keyboard controls and this occurs. Unfortunately this is something of a game stopper as this my current enemy's home system and I am trying to clear out ships and bases

Something is definitely broken with this system and I hope it's fixable without needing to abandon the game. When I order my fleets to "Move to" this planet -- they won't get any closer than shown here (the fleet to the lower left is, but it's chasing enemy ships.

I can order 2nd Fleet to invade and that will happen but they won't 'move' there.

Do you have a save that you could upload and steps to reproduce this movement command issue? We had another report of a similar situation but with a pirate station instead of a planet, so any info you could provide will help pin this down.

Try this one. I ordered my second fleet to a pixel directly next to Kareda 1. When I order it to Move to Kareda 1 -- the fleet moves AWAY from the planet and won't get any closer.

I don't remember seeing this before, and it seems to play havoc with my ground invasions as the ships don't drop troops in a timely manner. This means that I'll have 2 divisions on the planet (getting beat up) and then the other ones drop slowly...
