Bernadotte as the heir to the Swedish King

Post by Admiral Delabroglio »

Hello

When the Allied player uses the card "Bernatotte", according to the manual, a 4 quality general is created.

On easy difficulty, after the British military reform, the leader is a 7 quality one. On medium, it is 8, and on hard, it is a 9 quality leader. I suspect this might be a bug, perhaps the effect of the reform is taken two times into account ? 9 is a lot, and Bernadotte as a French leader is a 4 quality leader. So, 3, 4 or 5 before the military reform and 5, 6 or 7 after the military reform, depending on the difficulty setting, seems better than 7, 8 or 9

Bernadotte almost as good as Davout and better than Lannes seems wrong.

Also, the Ottoman leaders seem not to be modified due to the difficulty setting, is it an oversight or is it intended ?

Best regards

The command ratings for Ottoman leaders are not adjusted by level of difficulty. This is deliberate. I don't remember the exact conversation that I had with Glenn about it, but I think it's simply due to the fact that they can be allies or enemies of France.

The manual does indeed specify that Bernadotte will enter with a command rating of 4. For some reason I gave him a base rating of 6. I'll probably set this back to 4 in the next update.

Thanks for mentioning this!

I have no real argument in the Bernadotte rating one way or the other.

I just want to say that I find Bernadotte very underrated in most games (all?). That is, of course, my very humble opinion.
