It got surrounded at the start of the game and I went west to move next to a German Corps HQ (fortuitous as it ended up killing Gotthard Heinrici) and it just got passed by.

The minimum amount of MPs for non-motorised units is always 8.

if that's independent of supply status its just plain wrong.
If you don't have fodder for your horses you can't move. The limited amount of vehicles can't move the whole unit regardless of how much fuel is present

It's independent, yes. Only when a unit is essentially "fully isolated" (it can't even defend itself anymore) you can't do anything with it. That's several turns of isolation.

Non-motorized units will always receive at least eight MP, even when out of supplies unless the unit was air dropped in the current turn (23.9). The exception is static units that will receive two MP.

I'd be curious to know how far west the unit gets before a hunting party tracks it down or it evaporates.

It should go for the ports in east Prussia to remove its isolated status. Then it can probably wreak havoc along the coastline to Berlin.

It's only 20 miles inside East Prussia and has only been able to move 2 hexes a turn since it was passed by.

I wish I could track to see how far west it could get but I'm stopping this game to downgrade to a previous version.
