Late war, US carrier task forces were able to intercept incoming enemy air raids by intensively using radars. Japanese air planes were intercepted before seeing any enemy ships.

How is it translate exactly in battle outcome? When I see some late war carrier battle results in the last AAR, I am quite surprised.
