First things first... since this is my first post on the forum I'd like to briefly start offtopic by mentioning how much I love this game of Command:Modern Operations! This - in my opinion - is something else indeed.
Back ontopic!
The issue
If you create a new mission, task pool or package within the mission editor and then deselect "open mission editor window" (because it's already open, duh!) you run into problems as soon as you click on the newly created entry.
How to reproduce
I read rule #2 yet won't be adding a savegame because this applies everywhere: right after starting a new empty scenario or loading a tutorial and everything else, so it's easy to reproduce:
- Press F11 to open the mission editor (or click the button in the toolbar).
- Click the 'Add' button which is located in the upper left corner.
- Create a task-pool to make this easy: give it a name and then deselect the "Open Mission Editor window" checkbox at the bottom because... yah, it's already open?
- Click the 'OK' button and then click the task pool you just created within the mission editor: b00m; you'll trigger an exception.
- Now we get into my reason for reporting: the window won't go away anymore. You'll need to press F11 again yet see what happens if you follow up by clicking on the task pool entry again? Yah: another crash / exception.
- The only way to clean things up (other than quiting the game) is to press F11, close the window, presss F11 again: now all is back to normal.
And now I cannot resist the urge to go slightly offtopic again & show off a bit, this is how I enjoy playing this amazing game, dual monitors FTW! =>
Thanks for reading, here's hoping this can help!
