Shadow of the Tsars-Greeks

Post by OldCrowBalthazor »

Hi I have been communicating with Duedman almost daily about certain unique aspects of the scenario while we are playing.
This came up from him in a email today (other parts redacted):

"What I also did a while ago in our match, was to buy Greek units with France. With the remote hope, that they would behave like Estonians when the Brits leave.
And what can you say... they just arrived.
Problem is: They are stuck in Greece and still belong to France with zero MPP. But I might be able to dissolve the bomber to raise the money for transporting the division.
Is this intended?

Perhaps as a solution, the French could still generate a very small income after they leave Russia similarly like the UK does to support their minors after they withdrawal too?

Doesn't sound ideal :? . I'll have to think on the best way to solve this one...

The difference of course is that the Estonians are raising their own units to defend their own country against the Bolsheviks while the Greek units are an intervention force fairly far from home and without a great power ally. If Greek units are raised by the Whites and make it to Russia before France withdraws, you could treat them like free units in the WW1 game and set a percentage chance that they will fight on or surrender when France withdraws. But it seems implausible that new Greek units in Greece could be transported to Russia to fight if France has thrown in the towel.

Yeah the Greeks were fully involved in Anatolia against the Turks at this time. Definitely a dilemma.
Possibly the ability to buy a new Greek unit should just not be possible. Any new forces the Greeks would be raising would be heading to Smyrna. 🔥
