Aggressive Morale Failure Stop

Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem is a highly enhanced new release of Close Combat, using the latest Close Combat engine with many additional improvements. Its design is based on the critically acclaimed Close Combat – A Bridge Too Far, originally developed by Atomic Games, as well as the more recent Close Combat: The Longest Day. This is the most ambitious and most improved of the new Close Combat releases, but along with all the enhancements it retains the same addicting tactical action found in the original titles! Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem comes with expanded force pools, reserve & static battlegroups, a troop point buying system, ferry and assault crossings, destructible bridges, static forces and much more! Also included in this rebuild are 60+ battles, operations and campaigns including a new enhanced Grand Campaign!

Aggressive Morale Failure Stop

Post by Chrisp247365 »

The morale failure stop is very aggressive and unrealistic in some cases. It is basically acting as a divine intervention forcing a cease fire. I was playing as the allies and slaughtering the attacking german forces which I had caught out in the open. In mid machine gun fire, suddenly the battle was over and instead of winning the map, I am forced to stop and gain a couple of victory locations. The morale failure stop shouldn't be a penalty to the victor or stop an attack unless the defeated side retreats off the map entirely.

You can turn off force morale in the game options when you're starting a new game.

You can choose to not use that feature.

I think it represents that the losing side disengages and retreats to better defensive positions, where the attacker has to once again rethink his attack options.

It's a help for the A.I. mostly, in multiplayer I think it's not used.
