Such an awesome game

Post by Zovs »

Man, I purchased this game several years ago, went through some of the tutorials and then got sidetracked with life, playtesting WITE2, and learning the WDS games, just reinstalled this week and man this is such an awesome game!

I know Steve and MG in particular did not deliver on "all the goods" so to speak but this is still an awesome game!

I don't know if Steve reads these forums anymore or not but kudos and to you Steve! Fine job and great work. I know you had some health issues and I do understand that (I had a massive heart attack on August 20th that completely changed my life), but I hope you return and continue to support this game system.

I am still very much in the learning process, but interested to know how PBEM/Net Play and team play and all that work out.

Lots (I mean lots) of reading to do, and to really finish up all the tutorials and totally dive into this game system.

Thanks so much Steve, please come back.

If you want, I offer you to do the introductory Barbarossa scenario with you by PBEM, so you get an idea, how it works. Let me know, when you feel ready.

Sounds good, let me finish up all the tutorials and reading first, just trying to wrap my head around the basis now.

Do NOT do the "quick start" Barbarossa save game; instead start a new game from the MWiF start screen, so the Russians can do his own set up. The Russian set up in the Quick Save is awful.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Well I have watched 11 of the 14 tutorial videos and still have a lot of the interactive tutorials to go through but am really impressed with this game.

I'll have to go back and rewatch the Naval combat again that was mind blowing.

Still going to take some time to master the basics of this game, but man I love it.

Then you can tell us if you can make the convoy organization at your will or not. One thing is the video and other the practice.

It took me a lot of time to grasp that system.

I find I am not really interested in any other WWII strategy game... I try but, they all pale against this one...
