Change language

I love this game, but I would enjoy it much more if it were in my native language. I have both Word In The East I and II, Word In The Pacific and Word In The West, if anyone can help me or tell me what files can be modified to change the language of any of these games, I would appreciate it. I am interested in translating these games so I can offer them to the community. Are there files that can be modified? What programs would be recommended to be able to translate it?

You would need to directly modify the .exe file, most ingame text is located there. There was (is?) a Russian translation on the Strategium forum, and it was done in this way.
