Harpoon Ult Ed registry errors upon install

Just bought the Ultimate Edition; first Harpooning for me since the old 360-Pacific DOS games...

Using Windows 10/64bit Pro, OS build 19045.3803.

Upon installation, for each of Ultimate Commanders Edition, Ultimate Advanced Naval Warfare, ANW v394, and Harpoon 3 v3.6.3 Setup, I got:

Invalid RegKey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Matrix Games\Harpoon...(version) from Windows Script Host.

I did also get a full-up system crash at the end of running the latest patch that took my computer to a restart without any prompting. I re-ran the patch after the restart. It said all was up-to-date, but I forced it and it completed without further incident.

Does anyone know if I need to fix things, or can I now expect the game(s) to run as expected? Thanks.

Hi, Welcome back! That is a combination of challenges I haven't seen. There is no reason for an unbidden computer restart, the whole episode makes me wonder if you have some data storage corruption (hard drive/ssd) affecting the registry. Nevertheless, give the games a try and see if they seem okay. I can help more with Classic/Commander's Edition than the H3 series. I would expect the game to either work or not work rather than have suspicious behavior.
