Allied Resources Management

Post by DKF12 »

I am playing the allies against the computer. The only resources I am transporting is Port Hedland to Perth. Is there any other places I should be looking at, or is it needed in this particular scenario
Thanks

Use one or two xAKLs with an escort using a CS convoy. Turn on and off for supplies on the return trip depending on the need for supplies at Hilo. Oahu (Pearl Harbor) will need more resources than that, bring some back from Oceania and/or Australia with the returning ships.

Bring Oil from the DEI to Australia when there isn't fuel to bring there until the Japanese threaten the routes. It would not hurt to haul the resources out as well.

DKF12, you can also haul Res on Port Hedland-Geraldton route if Perth gets to congested. Geraldton is linked to the rest of Australia via its minor rail, so resources dumped in Geraldton will find their way to Sydney and other big cities.

Hello

You can use WITP Tracker ..

or Ingame: the "Industry Magment" Window Key(I).
You can see which Fab is a demand and in red which factory need addtinal Oil/ resources / supplies and fuel

Sometimes you have to set Oil or resources STorage to "Yes"because otherwise the resources/ Oil (Also Supplies and Fuel move to an divrent location e.g. Perth

Resources
- Pearl Harbour <= Source Hilo or Juneau (Alaska) or Anchorage (Alaska)
- Perth <= Port Hedland (via Geraldton)
- Noumea <= USA / Alaska or Australia (when you have enough)
- New Zealand <= I move some resources from Asutralia or Tasmania
- Bora Bora <= USA (1 Ship load is enough)
- Tahiti <= USA (1 Ship load is enough)
- Christmas Island <= USA (1 Ship load is enough)

Oil (not so easy)
Australia (Melbourne and Sydney) <= Abadan and Adan (Off Map) via Cape Town and than Perth or Adelaide to the Australian Raildroad Network

P.S.: At the start of the game I try to evacuate all tanker. Often I try to load a little bit of oil from Parlembang, Balipapan or Java and ship it to Australia. I do not load them full because they are quite important fur Oil and fuel transport 1942-1943. So I load them only with 25-50 % of their capacity (or fuel).

As Allies you never need to transport oil (might have changed in newest version).

AUS needs fuel.

New Zealand as well though not nearly as much and it usually has to be shipped to both North and South Islands.
