little triumphs

Post by Jellicoe »

Been playing this game for a decade and still love it and recently started yet another AI campaign (Da babes scenario 30 because it gives me RN Monitors!)

The detail as well as the broad scope continues to reward and this game I would like to note the creation of two aces in 22 squadron flying Blenheim 1F's out of Singapore and then Calcutta - OK so largely against Betty and Nell but still - these are Blenheim 1Fs!

Hear Hear! I still play the vanilla Scenario 1 because there are still things I want to try - especially in that first crucial six months. I also want to see how the end plays out when the enemy is exhausted and strategically strangled, so I play on past the time when the VP score says I have won. At my age I have no desire to play a PBEM because of the commitment and speed of turn completion that would be expected, so the game is perfect for me in its vanilla form.

I do this with the computer D&D type games I play - exploring every corner of the map, all the different ways to finish the tasks required and also diversionary tasks that are fun. Never have to worry about value for dollars per hour played!
