[WAD] Problem with Air Intercept latest version

Post by rvseydlitz »

Good day all.
Attached was the third I have noticed this but the first time saved at a good part to observe.
Note at coords latitude='13.0974460526099', longitude='-68.4357917589743' VZ flight Combat36 and the mission it is assigned to in mission editor is only supposed to launch when enemy aircraft are 145nm or nearer. Running the scenario from the side NATO I know none came nearer than that flights own current position, problem 1.

Problem 2..the flight has a plane almost down to 0 fuel and never could make the return flight, nor really even divert to a nearer base without crashing.
I have never seen this happen before but have noticed recently now in tests of this scenario that the non-human side (VZ) AND the human side if leaving patrols up without manually stepping in have had similar fuel issues and a few "...has run out of fuel and crashed"...this is simply the first I saw in time to save probably moments before that crash.

This taken (game) moments later...the two ditched A/C shown were the out of fuel flight.

Nothing the rest of that message log...could the "flight plan errors" that prevented some take offs be linked to the issue?

The AI side made it's flight plans but as the scenario designer could it be a problem with my missions for the VZ side?

Ok this is NOT an air intercept mission problem. It is showing up in the same scenario in ALL VZ (AI player) missions..all of the "ditched" results...the ones I photographed above and about 17 new ones a few game hours later, are planes just staying up until they fall.

Latest version same scenario.
Flight Ringo1 Side Venezuela... N10.28.27 W 68.39.13 was part of a CAP mission His wingman just ditched a moment before the save. He will fall in a moment, no fuel to return to base...also note that he got unassigned somehow...could that be a link? there is no war at this stage yet and his CAP prosecution zone was far from the nearest NATO ac.
In the run through I posted above. Venezuela lost 26 planes to fuel issues. This run through is only a few game hours old and this guy will follow his wingman down and they will have two losses even before the shooting starts

Units crashing due to fuel it's an issue of the scenario design

Oh God lmao. Thank you.
I did not change that...not even sure why that would be an option.
Thank you so much!

No problem, yes, it's a weird option for any side but it doesn't make sense for an AI side.

Its there as an option because a few players long ago asked for it specifically.
