New feature "X-crosshairs"

Post by Kobu »

Hi

I've been searching and I can't find any option to deactivate the new feature " Display a red X-crosshairs symbol and ETA on the calculated interception point when a weapon is selected".

Is it possible to disable it? If it is not possible, it would be good to add this option since it does not work well in most situations and hinders the view of the map with more symbols.

I think that like all other options it should be optional for the sake of a better view of the units and the map.

Hi

One of the problems I mention has to do with ballistic missiles, the cross remains in the middle of the map without indicating anything and stays in random places on the map giving wrong directions and jumping around the map.

Calculated missile intercepts always assume the target's speed is all ground speed. Not much impact against aircraft, but it does affect BMD intercepts significantly.

I understand that it is very difficult to predict against ballistic missiles. What I propose is to add an option that allows you to deactivate the indication of estimated impact time because on some occasions, like here, it spoils the game experience with the cross jumping all over the map and giving wrong indications.

Hi Kobu,

Yes, I understand the suggestion, probably will be set by default to not show the ETA and the crosshairs and will be added as an option to map display.
