Hello Colonels and Polkovniks.

Today we have just uploaded episode five of the Flashpoint Campaigns Tutorial Series.

This episode covers airpower and air defense. Airpower is a very high risk high reward asset to use. On the one hand fixed wing aircraft and helicopter gunships are excellent at killing large numbers of tanks and infantry carriers with bombs, ATGM's, and cluster munitions. On the other hand if your opponent has any significant air defenses covering their troops your aircraft will be quickly destroyed if you try to force the issue.

I have lost count how many times helo on deep strike tasks have flown directly back to the FARP for resup, right over the FEBA with the densest AD concentrations. How about safe routes - no pilot would bimble back in a straight line at medium altitude?
