Reduced attrition & National Morale mods

Post by tyronec »

We are playing a Campaign with the 1.03.09 mods:
Reduced attrition.
National Morale; Germany & Soviets +5, Axis Allies +10.
Also with no GA after the Axis T1 airbase bombing.

Just interested to know if anyone else is playing with the mods and what are your thoughts ?

The mods I think help the Soviets, less prospect of an Axis grinding victory.
The no GA helps Axis and protects them from massed GA-Unit, it also allows them the freedom to advance beyond AS cover opening up for more of a blitzkrieg style of play.

We are just up to T23 and the beginning of the blizzard. It is only one game and early days yet so couldn't say where the play balance lies.
My early impression is that this is the best version of the game I have played.
The lark, signing its chirping hymn,
Soars high above the clouds;
Meanwhile, the nightingale intones
With sweet, mellifluous sounds.
Enough of Stalin, Freedom for the Ukraine !

Reduced retreat attrition is one of the options in the patch, select it when you start a new game.
