CVL 祥凤 station at 106,134 reported an allied aircraft following her .

in the meantime, B5N Kate from TF 3 (and that is CVL Shoho 祥凤 group!) report allied aircraft carrier sighting at 106.134!

misidentify happens. but here we have a pilot doesn't recognize his mothership??? :o

I have to squint a bit, but I read it as TF 3 sights Allied Carrier Aircraft at 106,134. Not Allied Aircraft Carrier. So basically, a confirmation of the report on the preceding line.

But then these redundant op reports confuse me sometimes. Too much information sensei! :P

Plus fog of war. There's many an erroneous message about sightings in the game.

I read it so that both a Shoho lookout and the Kates crew spotted and reported the Allied patrol aircraft.
The ac might be from a carrier but conducting search as it is following the TF, doctrinally US carrier ac on search should also try to bomb after reporting the TF.
