Reiterating wish for more weather controls in editor

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Reiterating wish for more weather controls in editor

I know another modder has expressed his wish for same. My testing period has commenced, and I found out last night, to my chagrin, that fields give a +1 movement bonus in mud conditions, cutting the mud penalty down from -2 to -1 (not sure why, since all that tilled soil would make the base softer and not firmer). Since I have liberally used field tiles on my map and have given higher movement rates to units across the board, this is a bit problematic for me.

At the very least I can ask that the specific bonus in question be removed.

I‘m pretty sure mud penalty has always been +1 across the board. It just gets added to other penalties like +1 for wood tiles

There is no modifier to movement with fields in WiE. In any case, the penalties can be set by the mod designer in Campaign, Edit Movement Cost Data.

Campaigns, Edit Penalties/Bonus Data can also be used to apply modifiers on a unit-by-unit (type) basis.
