[RESOLVED] Hang up at "Loading, please wait. . . "

Post by rmwilsonjr »

Just installed the March 1, 2024, DB Images from the Warfare Sims website. No issue. Now, when I try to launch the game, the Launcher Screen comes on and things proceed normally to the "Loading, please wait. . ." screen but the wait never ends, and I have to force close the program.

Running Build 1328.14.

Any ideas?

The launcher has problems in several games.

Try running the game creating a shortcut for Command.exe

I have a very hard time believing that loading a bunch of jpgs and txt files would cause the game to not run. I would focus on something else. If its the Matrix launcher, its known to have issues at times. As was mentioned, use the exe directly.

Thanks for the ideas, but neither of them worked. I'm going to reinstall and hopefully that will fix the issue.

Whether it was the coming eclipse or the NJ earthquake, uninstalling and reinstalling the game and all the DLC resolved the hang-up issue even after installing the latest DB images, so they were not likely the culprit. Thanks again for the feedback.

As I said, they were VERY unlikely the culprit. The jpgs have no ability on their own to impact execution of CMO. Plus thousands have downloaded them without any issue.
