Beta Launching Problems

I decided to download and install the new Beta, but it has caused a lot of problems for me to launch the game. My desktop shortcut says the .exe file is no longer available, and when I tried to launch in the Beta2 folder it said "PW data missing." I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything, but the game will only launch with the official base game and patch for 2022. I don't see the Beta and now the Beta2 folder is gone. Any thoughts?

The first question that will is likely to be asked is did you install the Beta over an existing installation of the game or a new installation? The recommendation has always been to start with a fresh install of the game before adding the Beta.

I installed over the existing game. But since then I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything. Still no Beta2 folder and I am unable to launch the game in the Beta.

The 1127 install should create its own game icon. If not then you can create one by using the exe in the games main folder....GP

I tried using the icon in the Beta2 folder and that is when I would get the "no pw data" error. But I no longer have the Beta2 folder or the shortcut. I have tried downloading the file twice and have reinstalled it each time. For whatever reason, I am only play the base game up to the last official patch. I am using the default war in the pacific directory on the install, but have no idea where the data may be going.

Ok, do yourself a favor and load up the game up until 1126a. The next update is due out soon. Then try the new update, loading it up in a fresh build of the game....GP

On my C drive, I have another portable drive, I have a "vanilla" installed, updated to the latest official patch, then I used SeaBee for the shortcut. I have a new Beta installation, for the shortcut I simply copied the switches from the other shortcut and pasted them into the Beta shortcut. That works fine for me.

I was able to get on to Jochen Heiden's Discord and he helped me work through the problem. Everything runs now! It looks like the issue is the 1127 Beta.
