Post by ElvisJJonesRambo »

September 1939 - Poland
  • Oh, no. What did I get myself into. This
Ilo4Tu is a computer name, and plays like real Chat-GPT.
Last game, he was Kasparov (perfection as Axis).
    I'm no Bobby Fischer.
  • Had to go with old reliable, the Presley Poland #1 opening

September 1939 --- China
  • Death plays its hand, both sides come out aggressive, punching.
Chinese push back inexperience Army (Southeast Wuhan mountains to strength-2)
Chinese ding in the North and advance.
  • Japanese counter, demolish that Army South of Wuhan.
The trains are busy in the North, massive amounts of men pour in to protect the rails.
All kind of operands are forced to used, expensive, but no choice.

My interest level in AARs in general has declined with my age and brain power.

But I like this one - punchy, funny, and easy to digest.

Thanks!

Great to see an old style AAR on the game forum, instead of a monetised, ad-ridden video.

March 1940 - China

--notice, China has Elite Army holding that Changsta. Not ready to trash my units there, wait for new equipment
--the gap pressures continues Chengchow and Wuhan, Japanese are winning there
--to the North, the weak Chinese Corp getting attritional down damage
--same in the South, but that *key supply route still open

May 1940 - France

--British are pouring units into France.
--2 Anti-Air guns been destroyed, another damaged
--French got Anti-Air
--More Corps come-in from England, or wait, maybe Egypt? (2nd unidentified Army too, Indians, etc.)
--Luftwaffe flies patrol in the Channel, we get intercepted by Carrier. British/French Tactical Bombers spotted.

Germans are playing this cool, nothing crazy, we will go past June for sure, maybe August to take Paris, but I'm not going a lose any *key units now. Risk high / Reward small. All attacks have been looking for best odds, and Axis Airpower is certainly avoiding Anti-Air guns. I'm losing some time though.

May 1940 - Egypt
--Since Allies are spending MMPs into Diplomacy, France, feels safer in MedFront.
--No Naval action anywhere, yet.
--Italians take a peak East of Tobruk, spot a Fortress, French Engineer, and some Corp.

Ouch, what a lazy move, after so many safe moves, that lead Panzer is destroyed :(

--Hit by British bomber, those Armies come up, bam :(

--didn't think he'd leave entrenchments of many turns
--conservative moves, and 1-lazy move, pays the price, oh well, it's 1-unit.
--British are pouring lots of money into France, that move, justified, upto now

Summer to August 1940 - France

--Got nasty, real quick in France, the British are ALL-IN. I really mean, ALL-IN.
--Focal point of counter-attack, Northeast hex of Paris, have Lost: Panzer, another Army, Corp and now Fighter
--British have gone weak on Tech (I think by graph), having lots of babies to send endless Corps into France.
--French are holding Southern portion, keep that morale up
--British Carriers, surface ships, French ships all in English Channel and raiding Norway

Even worse news, the Finns like to be bribed too. French & British (checked graphs) love to be Devil with money.
--Finns took 5% hit, they are on the edge of considering sitting this war out

Germans got punched in the face, have lost Panzer, 2-Army, 1-Corp and Fighter
--Counter punch, think I've killed 6 British Corps (will check), few are scumbag units with pitchfork technology
--Have killed 2 Anti-Air (British also)
--May have lost those ground units, but my slower play has preserved the Luftwaffe Mediums and Tacital
--Germans bring Artillery piece to finally get Paris, but French will hold on for more fighting.
--German paratroops and now Garrison are in port behind enemy lines, that damn Bomber down to 3.
--Too bad didn't use the 2nd Paratroop to finish off that deadly bastard Bomber, instead flew & dropped South
--British Carrier now calls bottom of the channel, home. Another one might as well be dead, 5/0 strength.
--Couple surface ship pops, but nothing noteworthy. U-boats challenge in channel, surface ships stay safe for now.

It's been total war in France, insane. We know what this means...I must do some harsh plan against hyper strategy

August 1940 - China

--Have been playing conservative (too keep Armies healthy) and a counter-puncher Chinaman
--Elite 13-Strength Jap Army, entrenched x2, beside HQ, just took 4 points of damage SE of Changsta, wow, nasty :(
--Japs slow cooking has introduced 2nd Artillery pieces. Slower, boring, but results have begun.
--Carriers now getting more deadly with LR2 and some experience.
--Chinese still hold Nanning, giving themselves more MMPs, while IJN shells constantly.
--Chengchow is doomed. Those fortress(es) held for a long time, but House of Cards now.

Overall, I feel better in China. Japan will need a mid-range plan now, for we know what Allies are gonna do.
