German Local Air Supremacy

Post by matchwood »

Hello,

Trying to gain local air superiority as the LW in late 1944. Seems like very quickly the results turn when the p51d arrives. A few questions:

1) Is there any way to stop your planes from joining in ground support automatically other than setting them to rest or out of range?

2) Is there any way to stop your planes from routinely engaging at an altitude disadvantage as per the picture below?

3) Are there any other tips to achieve local air super as Axis?

Thanks

Found that there seems to be a big difference in results for the LW between automatic intercepts and Air Superiority missions.

Planned Air Super missions seem to do better - possibly because they are planned at a higher alt and less likely to get bounced.
