Fixed Arty In Korsun Campaign ?

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Fixed Arty In Korsun Campaign ?

Post by Black Cat »

Playing the Russians in the Korsun full campaign game and it seems the bulk of the heavy Arty in the right map center will not move, are these units fixed ?

On the icon they show either trucks or horses.

When clicked on they show no movement radius, and can`t be moved in the manner all other units are.

Also a Arty. reinforcement that comes in on the right map edge about turn 12 will not move.

I am bewildered by this since it states in the Manual on page 27: Item 6 "In Korsun all units except fortresses can move" .

I have a save game.

Thanks

There are some arty units that can move and fire on the same turn.

There are some that can either move or fire. It is likely that you are rerferring to this type.

To make them move click on "extended movement". Then they can move - but they have now used their OPs and so they cannot fire this turn.

This is a guess on my part.

These would be the really heavy tracked versions. From memory they are over 200mm.
