Grey hexes that border map...

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Grey hexes that border map...

Post by Knavery2112 »

How do I change it so the map is covering most of the screen? In the screenshots, it looks cool, but in game, there is a border of grey hexes around the entire outside of the map. How do I either make it bigger or expand the map to cover those hexes?

Can someone please answer my question? Any moderators around or devs that can help answer this? Why is this place so dead? I thought this game was supposed to be good or is everyone playing?:)

Hey Knavery2112,

I believe there is nothing you can do as there is no zoom in feature or support for multiple screen resolutions with this version of KP. Maybe in future releases perhaps!

The good news is you get used to it ;-)

I believe most of ths support staff live Down Under and it's the wee hours of tomorrow for them. I'm sure you'll get an answer when they wake up.

The screenshots do not show the full map... So no you can't get full map on screen. The full map is in the Jump Map that is at the top right of the game map.

You have to move you mouse to the edge of the map and the map will then move..

If you have seen some of the map dumps we have in the replays section of wachtamrhein, these are a dump of the entire map without the interface options. But you can't play the game without the UI.

If you want to do a map dump, tap the shift key and it will leave a bmp in the \korsun dir.

Thanks Ross,

That's probably what I hadn't notcied. Moving the mouse to the edge of the screen.. Perhaps that's why the grey hexes are visible from the onset. Have never played a hex game, but I heard this game is the most newbie friendly due to the long tutorial.

On the downside.. I hope it works.. I bought the game at CompUSA and upon getting it home, I had noticed it had been opened. There was a manual and game in a paper sleeve. The disk itself was scratched and I can't find my reciept for the life of me. I don't know if it plays well or not. So.. If it doesn't, I will have to buy another copy I fear.
