No F4F Wildcat or P40 production

Post by Bella »

I noticed that my carrier Wildcat squadrons were VERY slow to replace losses, and checked in industry. I apparently have no factories making either of them.

What have I done wrong?

This is what is being produced:

Туре
SED-3 Dauntless
PB_-S Catalina
PBY-SA Catalina
B-24D Liberator
Wirraway I
Beaufort V
Catalina I
IL-2

The factories that make those two aircraft models are located off-map in the mid-western or eastern US and are not viewable. You receive their planes as replacements not as production. If I recall the only on map aircraft factory production for the Allies is on the US West Coast, Australia and a bit in the Soviet Union. Canada maybe. But the vast majority of Allied aircraft production is taking place off the map and enters the a/c pool at the replacement rate per month.

Click "i" for the Intelligence Screen. Then click the button on the right marked Aircraft Replacement Pool.

The production rate column (on-map a/c factories) is near the far right. The replacement rate column (off-map a/c factories) is next to it. As you can see, Wildcat replacements are pretty anemic at the beginning of the game. Plane names on the left that are greyed out are still in R&D and aren't producing yet.

This may not include aircraft that come with new on-board units.
