Reserve and Move versus air attacks

Post by Yaab »

Can't find any info, so I ask.

Let's say you have an LCU moving in Move or Reserve mode. The unit moves at a rate given in the manual i.e 30 miles per turn on a Main Road. The unit is attacked once in AM phase by enemy bombers and suffers some losses. Does the unit lose some of its movement allowance then, just as ships lose some of their enudrance when repelling air attacks, assuming LCU's morale/fatigue is unaffected? Instead of moving 30 miles on Main Road in one turn, does it move just i.e. 26 miles, due to general confusion reigning after the air attack?

An air attack can (by die roll taking into account the effect) knock a unit out of move mode to combat mode which will affect movement accordingly. The amount of change during that turn depends on when it happens within the turn (another die roll?). I am not sure if leader stats can affect the unit's progress (e.g. a good leader might get the unit reorganized and marching sooner?)

Yes, they can knock an LCU form Move to Combat, but will either Move or Combat be reduced in its manual-given mileage walked, provided Morale/Fatigue stays the same? Seems to me, an LCU in Reserve mode, attacked 2-3 times during a turn, should lose a mile/few miles for each attack. Air raid, dispersing, getting back into formation, dressing the wounded etc. - it all should take time, and thus reduce miles walked.
