People did report subs hiting mines - but that was in earlier UV
builds (not current v2.30)...

As for sub vs. sub I don't think anyone ever reported that...

Never.

Anyone know if these two issues are planned to be addressed in UV or WITP???

Seems like that would be one of the best reasons to mine your bases defensively to keep subs out. But whats the point if they never get hit?

I've never seen a sub hit a mine over any number of games starting with version 1.1.

That's because subs have to surface to attack barges and PT boats, due to their shallow draft which makes it impossible to fire a torpedo at one effectively.

Historically, did a sub ever sink a barge? I don't think so. The barges were armored and armed and not worth the effort or risk to a sub.

Subs

Post by mogami »

Hi, It's been a while since I saw a sub hit a mine.

I did see a USN sub try to fight an IJN CA on the surface once. (The sub lost)(It was sunk by a long lance!!!)

Hello...

We have increased the chances of submarines hitting mines a bit, especially in shallow water, in WIP.

Bye...
