Barges and towing damaged ships

Hi!

I am searching a solution

1)
how to move barges - because there is no propulsion
in reality there is normally one barge with engine and no or some barges connected like a "locomotive" with some trailers

my only idea is to use lua functions


2)
in some of my scenarios are damaged ships -
for example a civilian cruise ship - which was attacked by terrorists -
damage : propulsion - destroyed and no communication - radio - destroyed

idea: send an ocean tug and task to tow the damaged ship into a harbour

ideas?

Ship towing was in the old feature request poll from CMANO, I don't believe it's on the CMO poll. But it's a feature I would like to see added in future.

Only way to tow ships at the moment would be to make a lua script to do it.

For damaged ships just set the damage of the towed ships propulsion to the second highest level (to keep the speed low). Add a check to the distance for the tug so if it get's to far away the engines on the towed ship get destroyed until it comes back in range.

I would think you just use a reference point on the towing ship and have the damaged ship follow it. Damage the towed ship and set the lead to slow to keep in formation. Just like a formation.

In fact, its probably easier to do the above than set up a mission to tow.
