[Fixed]Scenario Doesn't Load [Build 1463 CIV]

Post by eleos »

I installed the new patch of CMO Build 1463CIV
The sequence I follow is Start New Game/Load Saved Game/Edit Scenario --> Load Scenario
When I choose the scenario I want to play the game instantly
freezes
I use a non steam version so I jumped from Build 1328.18.1 straight to 1463CIV

Is it happening in all the scenarios?

Have you Webview2 installed?

Yes. It happens to all scenarios I tried whether I load a saved game, I start a new scenario or I load a scenario for editing
Only new empty scenario seems to work properly.
I do have webview 2 installed in my computer but I can't uninstall it

Is there a folder, called "EBWebView", present inside the CMO folder? It should have various folders and placeholder files inside.

If not, unzip this file into the CMO folder:

That folder is included in your last Mediafire file.

Just in case is useful, when I did it "manually", putting the 4 Webview files in the Command folder, it created automatically a new folder when I run the game.
\Command Modern Operations\Command.exe.WebView2
And is inside this folder where another folder with that name was created and populated with files (60 Mbs)
\Command Modern Operations\Command.exe.WebView2\EBWebView

Edit: not now, if I delete both folders, the game will automatically create and populate this folder and the game is loaded without error
\Command Modern Operations\EBWebView

I don't know guys. This is beyond my knoledge in computers
The EBWebView file exists in my directory with all files that are icluded in the zip file Dimitris uploaded
However none of the files that Nikel mentions is created
Another odd thing is that when I return to build 1328.18.1 everything looks fine (exept from the bugs of course)

Perhaps you have the game installed in a Program Files folder?

And so Windows is controlling and not allowing to populate it.

From my side this is no go. I tried but failed to implement the solution.
I have no other choice but to wait until an official patch is released.

This may be a long shot, but: Are you running Command as admin?

If not, can you give it a try?

Ugh. Same exact problem here. Tried running as administrator too.

So for me, looks like 1463 broke everything

Is there any way to go back to a stable version?

(FWIW I'm running 64-bit Windows 10 and the non-Steam version)

Feedback from the OP indicates that the newly-released Build 1468 fixes this issue, so please give that a try and let us know either way.

My fix was do a complete reinstall outside ofthe Programs directory. CMO runs as expected now.

I didn't do anything differently during the installation process, so it seems like the advice about not installing CMO in the Windows Programs directory has merit
