Printing the manual - Question

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

Printing the manual - Question

Post by holr »

Has anyone else had problems printing the manual?

I load the manual in Adobe Acrobat. Hit the print button. But when I get to my printer I get a couple pages of jumbeled garbage.

I print other PDF's all the time withou a problem.

Is there something unusual about this PDF doc?

I am assuming you have Adobe Acrobat installed your PC. (not being sarcastic). You may want to check what version if you have installed already. There is a version 5.xx on the KP disc that should work with the PDF manual, or you can go to Adobe and get the free download of the current Reader which is 6.xx. If this is already the case, have you checked for the latest drivers for your printer i.e. you are running Windows XP and your printer is using the Windows default drivers for printing? Hope this helps.

Sometimes I can print a PDF document and sometimes I cannot - it comes our garbled.

Our IT department cannot explain the discrepancy.

Some printers have various options and its a question of choosing the right combination of options.

It's a driver issue. Had the same problem at my workplace. There were a lot of people that could not print in PDF format. It was either jumbled or blank. We then used our test print servers and rolled back the drivers and it worked fine. So, we had to move the drivers back to NT on the reg print servers.
