Fleet Management

Post by Parrius »

I have a question, hopefully someone can give me some advice. I've built a fleet using the Template and have set them to Manual control. However, there are two pirate bases in the system that I currently have my home colony on. My fleets will automatically jump to the pirate bases and try to destroy them, even though I have them set to Manual. My fleet manages to destroy one base, but is continually decimated by the second one in the system. I have reloaded my saved game several times but the fleet keeps trying to destroy those bases. How do I stop the fleet from constantly attacking targets I don't want them to attack? Am I missing something? Did I mess up the settings? Any help would be appreciated.

Check your fleet engagement settings. What are they set to? If the fleet is going beyond your set engagement range that is definitely not ideal.

If you are paying the pirates protection money you will be at peace with them and no fighting will occur.

Manual only means the fleet wont move or relocate to another system. It will still engage targets within the fleet engagement range (default is system wide for manual fleets if i recall). You can set it to do not engage or local which might also help.
