Feature Request - Time Display

Really enjoying the game! 3D adds a huge jump in playability versus AB1.

One request: can the environment panel (or some other location) report the time when dusk/dawn, day/night occurs during a scenario? When playing a mission near sunrise/sunset, it would be useful to know when light conditions will change.

Also, it would be helpful to display the scenario month/year somewhere in the interface. Sometimes the briefings don't specify the date, though you can, of course, deduce the approximate year from the equipment being used (and the environment graphics for the month). It would just be nice to be able to see it in-game.

Both can be nice features, but perhaps a scenario designer may intentionally want them to be obscure? For example, he doesn't want the player to know how much daylight there's left, or he can make a scenario that's outside the time frame of the database used.

I think those are very valid points, but I would counter that, for the daylight issue, it shouldn't be hidden info. It would be unlikely that anyone on the battlefield (particularly at command level) would not know when the sun would be setting/rising, especially if they are counting on darkness to cover their movement. In the game, the transition can be unexpected, and you aren't actually sure how much time you have to work with. Although we can see the sun and sky (love it), dusk/dawn just suddenly happen out of nowhere. For example, at dusk, the sun goes from being shown 20-30 degrees above the horizon to "gone" and replaced with a twilight graphic. I think that is totally fine (once you know about it), but it definitely misled me during one scenario.

For sure, this is not a big deal, but more of a nice-to-have feature. Maybe showing time/date/dusk/dawn could be a default that a designer could toggle off?

LOVE THE GAME!
