CMO locks up arbitrarily

I am new to this game which I enjoy tremendously. Although I have a "moster" laptop (a Legion 9i running Win 11 with 32GB RAM, Intel Core i9 13980 and NVIDIA RTX 4090), the game arbitrarily freezes (application status shows "suspended" and I must end the app from the task manager). If I may discern a freeze pattern, these lockups occur mostly when I have Database, Weapons Doctrine windows open, or when the game is left paused for some minutes.

These are not associated with particular scenarios. For the last month, I have been playing the tutorials and then Aegean in Flames, Goodnight Irene and now Under African Skies, the last two from the community pack.

Any explanations or suggestions?
