Vietnam and Middle East have the same desktop icon...?

Post by jack54 »

I'm not sure if this is just me; anyway I renamed the shortcuts in order to see Vietnam and Middle East immediately.

It would be nice to have different desktop icons at the official launch.

Thanks!

also thanks for the updates! :D

Yes, they do. For whatever reason I am not able to have the main exes (Middle East.exe, Vietnam.exe) use their own icons in File explorer, despite that both dialogs show their proper versions.

You should be able to change the shortut icon with right clicking, selecting properties, and Changing Icon. Vietnam displays its proper Forest Green one, while Middle East should have the Field Drab Brown.

Hopefully the official release will behave better.

PS For all you icon lovers out there, I redid the icons for all three editors as well, with more modern ones. Those ico files now included a 48x48 and 64x64 icons based on each editor's screenshot. So much nicer now. We do care about details.
