changing MP games to SP

I used to know how to change a multi player file to a single player file... but I forgot... any help would be useful.... I'd like to finish this game!

Open the file with a text editor like notepad. The very top line will have the version number, then a comma then a 10 (if it is global war) then a comma, then a 2. A zero there means solitaire, a 1 means head to head and a 2 means Netplay.

Change that last 2 to a zero and save the file. Make sure the extension on the saved file name is GAM, not txt - change it if you need to.

It is much more complicated to change a single player file to a multiplayer file, except if the game was started as Netplay, then you can switch back and forth as described.
