Adding Squads in the Editor

Post by John 3rd »

Hello All.

I am working on a Mod and wonder if one can add to reinforcing squads for the army or navy of a country within the Editor. How does one do that? For example if I think the Aussies should get more army squads/month, how is that done? Can that be done?

In the Device tab of the Scenerio Editor, there is a field for Build Rate and another for Can Build. In the Build Rate field, the number is divided by 30 for the daily build amount. For example, a device (squad type) with a Build rate of 450 will produce 15 squads per day, independent of any other production for the squad type.
Never ever ever ever let a day pass without remembering that we are fighting a war for our survival. God bless our troops.

Not an answer, but another question:

Hi guys

First time posting on the forum, so forgive if wrong discussion.
Also first time trying to edit the game, same forgiveness request.

What I want to do is create a scenario in which both sides have all their [R] Restricted attributes removed,
so all units are available for movement and use. Crazy, I know, but I get so frustrated by not being'
able to use them.

Any info would be appreciated, like where in the spreadsheet is this attribute?

Mike,

In the witplocxxx.csv file for LCU's, you need to find the "attribute" field. Col "BK" when I open in excel. Then refer to the witptabs.csv file for the location attributes. You have to convert the decimal values to binary decimal so that the bits are correct. Use the values in the starting file to confirm your knowledge of how this works (what value mean what in the game) before you make changes. You CANNOT make all the fields in this column "0" as it not only controls HQ type, but a number of other important aspects of the game that need to be present.

You need to be proficient with witploadae to do it this way.

alternatively, you can also use the standard editor. definitely slower, but far less likely to pooch the entire game.

Good luck!!!
