- I have a very thin top layer of experience when it comes to how software works
- I'm a sponge though, and I am willing to push myself as much as possible to finish a project
- I'm stubborn, so I'm not going to take no as an answer!
I will guide you to how I set up my bottle for anyone that wants to follow along or is trying to get CMO to work on Crossover:
1. I created a Steam bottle with Windows 11 as the OS
*I don't think this is that important, I was struggling with the Windows 10 Steam that might have had a corrupt file in it somewhere and redid the process with Windows 11 for shits and gigs.
2. From that bottle I installed .Net Framework 4.8
*I found out that when a bottle is created, Crossover (or Wine) doesn't install the necessary items that a normal Windows computer would have. Why? I don't know, ask someone smarter.
3.I ran my graphics on Auto and my Syncronization on M-Sync
Right now, the game runs. I can load and run scenarios, but I can't use the dropdown menus to change sides and I can't see any descriptions. Also, if I choose "Title + Description" I can type in a title, but the description's text box is all white except the format toolbar above it and nothing comes up when I try typing anything.
I apologize for being quite disorganized. I haven't used a forum since the early 2000's and I haven't taken my Vyvance yet.
My goals are to get CMO and Tacview to run as if they are on a windows pc. I will keep working on this in the meantime while I wait for replies.
Thank you
