Queries re "Terrain type effects - ADVANCED"

(Considering that the manual does not say anything)

1. Does activation of the feature cause substantial performance issues?
2. If ON, does it only affect the sensor of units "below the tree-line" (for lack of better term) , or does it also make harder detection of same "below the tree-line" units from airborne ground radars?
3. Any other notable effect worth sharing?

Yes, it's a massive performance hit. Don't use it unless you want your sim to crawl.

It increases the Sim fidelity on detection of ground units

It impacts performance, but since 1567 it should be better
