Looking for expert/advanced opponent

Post by Umeu »

Can play either side.

Rules are negotiable as long as they are fair/balanced/reasonable and don’t favor one player/side or force bad strategic decisions. I prefer to keep it simple though, less is more.

Race to victory is the most balanced imo, but open to play 39-47 which seems to be the standard.

It gives axis another path to victory. Rather than having to always KO Russia, in RTV they can also survive to win on victory conditions without needing miracles or unforced errors from the allied player. They can damage Russia enough without having to fully kill it, as long as Russi won’t be able go steamroll back. The Pacific theatre is also more important in this version, because both sides most likely way to win is by victory conditions, which are also more balanced in RTV.

In 39-47, if Allies survive in Russia, which they usually if not always should be able to, they’re very likely to win or at least draw the game, assuming equally matched players.
