Saving a thrashed unit

Post by Hartley »

I have the remains of the 182 RCT on a beach in Guad.

They show

(60)60 squads
(35)35 support
(6) 6 AT guns

Any point in trying to pick them up and send them to Noumea ?

Will the unit be rebuit anyway, and maybe faster ?

OK, it's few days later, and now a 1/182 RCT, understrength but with no damaged units, has appeared in Noumea on its own.

The original is still languishing on that beach. What exactly is going on ?

Replacements for that portion of the unit killed arrived in Noumea. The rest of the unit is disabled, the part at Lunga. If you pick it up, the disabled squqads will eventually fix themselves. Otherwise, you will lose the VP for them. I'd try to pick them up if it can be done with reasonable safety.

This may also set up the possibility of the "disappearing partial unit" bug. If the unit bearing the designation 182nd RCT is destroyed, will the 1/182nd disappear? Anybody know? I have never experienced this bug, but it seems to me that Oleg and a couple of others were getting it sorted out so that it at least made some sense so that we could avoid it.

In any event, I think I'd go get 'em off that beach, just to be on the safe side.

So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.
